These sessions are for the complete beginner or the novice rock climber. You need no prior experience of climbing at all.
On arrival we will help you to put on a climbing helmet and harness, do some simple warm up exercises and go straight on to the crag. We will set up a few “routes” with ropes, which we will tie onto your harness to keep you safe. Then you can head up the climb, enjoying the thrill and freedom of a rock climber! Once at the top of the route, you can allow the rope and harness to take your full weight as we carefully and slowly lower you back down to the ground. Then it is on to the next route.
Our climbing instructors are all very friendly, encouraging and patient. We understand you might be quite nervous at times and we will help give you the confidence to fully enjoy the experience!
We offer both half and full day sessions, to suit your time constraints. The only difference between these is you have more time to climb more routes on our full day sessions. Our half day sessions are run from 9:30 – 12:30 (morning) or from 1:30 – 4:30 (afternoon), our full day sessions are 9:30 to 4:30. We may have some flexibility over timings so do just let us know if these times won’t suit you.
Our Rock Climbing “Taster” sessions are for anyone who is looking to have a go at rock climbing for the very first time, or has done just a little bit before and wants another go. Whether you are in the area on holiday, or you are local, it’s easy to be inspired by all the mountains and cliffs in the Scottish Highlands. Family groups, birthday parties, stag and hen parties are all welcome to book. You need no prior knowledge or experience, just turn up and have a fun rock climbing adventure. Do note that all children need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the session.
Yes! If you want to experience abseiling in addition to rock climbing that is no problem at all. Just let us know when you book and we will make sure we go to an appropriate crag whereby there is both good climbing and abseiling. There is no additional charge to add an abseil into your rock climbing session.
In order to provide the highest level of experience and safety I maintain low ratios. Below you can see the details. All trips are considered private bookings so you will not have to worry about sharing the climbing with others and the day can be tailored to your individual needs.

Rock climbing is an outdoor pursuit or sport whereby the participant climbs a natural rock face, cliff or feature (known as a crag). There is a huge variety of rock climbing throughout the world. From the most beginner friendly, short crags whereby the top can be reached in one length of rope, to vast multi day routes only undertaken by experts.
